The questions we keep getting.
Q01 Do I need a credit card to start the 14-day trial?
No. The Free tier is available as soon as you install the app, and your first paid subscription includes a 14-day trial. Billing only starts if you stay on a paid tier after that trial ends.
Q02 What happens when the trial ends?
Your paid plan starts billing through Shopify. If you cancel or downgrade, your shop falls back to the Free tier and your bin data stays intact.
Q03 How am I billed?
Billing runs through Shopify. Your BinTech subscription appears on the same Shopify invoice as your other apps — no separate card on file, no separate payment flow.
Q04 What counts as a SKU?
Every variant with at least one bin assignment counts as one tracked SKU. Excluded variants (marked "should not be assigned") and deleted variants do not count.
Q05 What if I go over my plan limit?
You'll see an upgrade prompt in the app when you try to add a new bin assignment past your SKU limit, or a new Shopify Location past your location limit. Existing data is never locked or deleted — you just can't add more until you upgrade.
Q06 Can I switch or cancel plans later?
Yes, anytime. Switch tiers from the billing page in the app. Cancel to fall back to Free; your bin data stays in place.
